Meet the volunteers behind running the club

Every single person on this page gives their time for free. Between them they run the teams, the pitch, the paperwork and the finances that make football happen in Elton every week.

Bryan Mills

Chairman

Elton JFC has been one of the proudest projects I have ever started — from 4 kids to over 100 members of the club in 4 years has been a remarkable achievement. I'm so grateful for the support I have around me. After over 14 years of coaching grassroots football, I find the common misconception is that the chairman is in charge and dictates to the committee around him. I'm pleased to say I trust the team to run their sections and allowing us to work together rather than work for me has allowed for some great ideas and rapid growth. We won't get every decision correct, but the amount of hours and effort the names below me put in — I'm so thankful. Enjoy meeting the rest of the team.

Shaun Bailiff

Club Secretary

Shaun handles the club's league and FA administration — registrations, fixtures, results and the paperwork that keeps every team eligible to play each weekend.

James Parker

Treasurer & Kit Manager

James looks after the club's finances — subs, sponsorship income and the accounts — and manages kit across every age group, from first-season Mini-Kickers to the Open Age side.

Steven Hussin

Vice Chair & Head Groundsman

Steven deputises for the Chairman and looks after the pitch and facilities at Elton School Field — the reason there's somewhere safe and playable to train and play every week.

Welfare, teams and age groups

Sarah Case

Child Welfare Officer

Sarah is the club's FA-recognised Welfare Officer for all youth teams and the first point of contact for any safeguarding concern, however small. Concerns can be raised with her directly at any time — you do not need to go through your manager first.

Leanne Thomas

Men's Welfare Officer

Leanne is the Welfare Officer for the Open Age Men's side and the first point of contact for any welfare or conduct concern involving adult players.

Callum Jones

Head of Mini-Kickers & U7s Manager

Callum runs the Mini-Kickers programme — most players' first experience of football at the club — and manages the U7s through their first competitive league season.

Paul Kay

U9 Blues Manager

Paul manages the U9 Blues, overseeing training, matchday selection and the day-to-day running of the squad. First point of contact for U9 Blues parents.

Neil Hughes

U8 Yellows Manager

Neil manages the U8 Yellows, overseeing training, matchday selection and the day-to-day running of the squad. First point of contact for U8 Yellows parents.

How to raise something with the club

Parent or player

You have a question, a worry or something that isn't sitting right.

Talk to your manager

Speak to your team's manager first. They know your child and the squad, and most things are sorted here.

Manager talks to the committee

If it needs a club decision, your manager raises it with the committee on your behalf.

You get feedback

Your manager comes back to you with the outcome and what happens next.

Resolved

Most things stop here. Your manager has dealt with it and you've had feedback — nothing further needed.
