A community club, grown in Elton.
Elton JFC is a volunteer-run grassroots football club in the village of Elton, just outside Chester. We're focused on growing the game locally and giving as many people as possible the chance to train, learn and play.
Our story
We began with a small group of players, a passion for the game, and a belief that every child deserves the chance to play football in a safe, welcoming environment on their doorstep. Today we run teams from Mini-Kickers (age 4) all the way up to our Open Age Men's side — a proper pathway for anyone in the village and the wider Chester area.
We're proudly volunteer-run. Coaches, managers, committee members and parents all give their time to make Saturday mornings and midweek training happen.
Our ethos
We believe football is about more than what happens on the pitch. It's a place to grow — where young people learn discipline, resilience and respect that carry into the rest of their lives. We start with effort, attitude and work rate, build the right mentality, and develop the football from there. Get those foundations right, and the skill follows.
Safeguarding-led
The welfare of every child is our first priority. We have dedicated Welfare Officers — Sarah Case for our youth teams and Leanne Thomas for the Men's side — and every coach is DBS-checked and appropriately qualified. Read our safeguarding statement.

Elton School Field, Elton, Chester, CH2 4LS. Home matches, training and community events all happen on our village pitch.
